Instead of reposting the whole thing over here, here: have a link! An essay I did a while ago on Shunsui and Nanao's relationship in canon.

This is mostly for people stopping in from the DressingRoom and such, to let them in on some of the stuff Nanao's been up to in Micro. She's not exactly forthcoming about the information, so here's a good place to dump it.

• What is this 'other city' Nanao has mentioned?
  
  That would be Micro-Metropolis (in other words, the game that I play her out of)! It's a lively modern city, full of buses and subways and businesses and other interesting modern contraptions! In other words, it's just like any other city in the modern world, with a few exceptions.
  
  
• Underneath the subway tunnels is an entire complex of labs and dormitories. This is where Nanao currently lives; she's planning to move out.
  
• It's entirely domed in - no one gets in, no one gets out.
  
• It's populated entirely by gigai/gikon (with the exception of the Player Characters, of course)
  
• Player Characters are tagged and tracked with a small chip in the back of their necks.

• What does the chip do?
  The chip has a number of functions, none of which Nanao will be eager to talk about in great detail. She will mention that it tracks what she says and does, and that it has a propensity for making her ill. She might blame this on an allergic reaction or a sadistic experiment (oddly enough, her recent flu WAS because of a sadistic scientist, but that's not usually the case). The truth, however, is that these chips are programmed to make their bearers sick roughly once every week or so if they don't have sex (the consequences for further refusal last about another week/week and a half, and wind up with a trip to the labs and unbearable pain. Not that she's not tried that, too).

• So what has she been doing all this time?
  Mostly relying on Matsumoto to help her out. She's fairly stubbornly averse to sleeping with men, although she is warming up to Lu Xun, Jiang Wei, and Kabuto. Fortunately, most any activity counts towards resetting the chip, so even if she does decide to do anything with them, it's not likely to be actual full-on intercourse.

• How does this translate to a dressing room/freeform environment
  As with ic_secrets, anything that happens in the Dressing Room, stays in the Dressing Room. For that reason, the chip doesn't function there outside of its monitoring function. This is partly because it would be a pain to keep up with the chip resetting in two different environments, partly because it's a very specific thing that I doubt everyone in a dressing room would like to see/play off of, and partly because Mayuri is smart enough to know that if word gets out about this, it will point back to him. And even as arrogant an ass as Mayuri is, he is well aware that all he needs is one angry Kyouraku breathing down his neck to end his little experiment (or at least put him in a world of pain).
  
  Coincidentally, both Nanao and Mayuri are banking on the other not talking about it. Nanao doesn't think Mayuri would admit to being captured and experimented on thus, and Mayuri knows that Nanao will not readily admit to any of this (and indeed, she hasn't told a single person yet about the chip's real function).

• What does all this mean in the grand scheme of things?
  Nanao will likely be less aggressive for the time being (fewer bookings, less yelling, etc), mostly because she's grateful to spend time with people from her own world. She's also been having some rather complex discussions with herself about her positions as far as sexuality goes - and also facing up to the nature of her feelings for certain Captains that I could mention. She's nowhere near being sexually assertive, but she has started to sort out where she stands on some things (while being quite determined to ignore others). So I guess we'll see where it goes from here.
